Yiming Dong

I am currently a PhD student in the School of Physics at Peking University , advised by Prof. Lijing Shao . I received my bachelor's degree from the School of Physics at Peking University. My research focuses on post-training techniques for large language models, particularly reinforcement learning, as well as AI-driven astrophysical data analysis.

My research interests currently center on reinforcement learning for large language models, including training stability, agentic reinforcement learning, and building scientific agents for physics.

I am also interested in statistical inference, the process of using data analysis to infer properties of an underlying probability distribution, and in using AI to accelerate it and broaden its applications.
